How do I start?

1. Pick an AI agent backend to use.

Under the hood, Rosie uses a general-purpose AI agent, either Claude Code or OpenAI Codex. Claude Code is the default, with OpenAI Codex released experimentally. Both services require an account:

• :claude-ai: Claude Code is a paid service, and requires either a Claude subscription or a Claude Console account. We suggest a subscription, which has a fixed cost that tends to be lower.
• :openai: OpenAI Codex is currently available at no cost to ChatGPT Free and Go users, and with higher limits for paid subscribers. Check out their pricing here.

2. Get the latest version of Studio Hub.

If you don’t already have Studio Hub, you can download it **here.**

If you already have Studio Hub, you can check what version you have in the bottom left:

Studio Hub should prompt you to update if your version is not the latest; otherwise, you can re-install it from here.

3. Add Rosie to your project.

For any project where you want to use Rosie, you can add it in Studio Hub by:

1. Click the “…” on your project

   

2. Click “Modify…” in the dropdown
