Our mission is to build deep, rich virtual worlds that bring people together and last for decades.

What’s the point of values? Values are guidelines for making trade-offs. As a small and agile team, we are constantly making trade-offs and choosing what not to work on. When making these trade-offs, reference our values to find alignment across teams and individuals.

Dream big, then make it real

Thinking small is a self-fulfilling prophecy. We are doing the best work of our lives. We are presented with an amazing opportunity and it is up to us to build something truly amazing.

We set ourselves goals we know we can’t reach yet because we know that by stretching to meet them, we can get further than we expected.

Be an owner, make a difference

Each person is important; each has the opportunity and the obligation to make a difference. We seek out ways to solve the most important problems. Every person can come up with the next great idea that will change our company's destiny, and we're responsible for each other to push to succeed.

Build with humility

We put our collective success before individual achievements. We prioritize requests and questions from our teammates over our individual work, and we celebrate successes as a team.

Fast is better than slow

Moving fast allows us to build more things and learn faster. We're less afraid of making mistakes than we are of losing opportunities by moving slowly. We are a culture of builders, and we have the power to ship fast.

We don’t think of speed as a trade-off with quality. Speed forces us to think and do things differently.

Keep it scrappy

Constraints on resources is a growth opportunity and not a debilitating challenge. Constraints breed resourcefulness, self-sufficiency, and invention. There are no extra points for growing headcount, budget size, or fixed expense.

We spent the first 4 years of our company self-funded while building Highrise, and that bootstrap culture lives on in every aspect of our work.

Always be learning

Feedback is how we learn, grow, and ultimately build 10x better products this year than we did last year. We have the courage to give radically honest feedback, and we have the confidence to accept feedback without ego. We believe that feedback is a gift.
